Metal–Matrix Composites from High‐Pressure Torsion with Functionalized Material Behavior

چکیده
In composites, outstanding properties of two materials can be combined. particular, metal–matrix composites (MMCs) combine the a high-strength ductile metallic matrix with special embedded ceramic particles. This hybrid used to create functional material. However, during consolidation, thermal load most common MMC-processing routes is an obstacle for such functionalization, because unique phases likely degrade. Mechanical alloying, in this case, by high-pressure torsion (HPT), overcome challenge. Herein, attempt obtain smart through HPT processing aimed. For that purpose, Cu-MMCs are produced from mixed powders ZrO 2 and BaTiO 3 (BTO) challenge incorporate their phase. BTO provide sensing ability internal stress fatigue lifetime retarded crack growth. The amount stabilized phase evaluated X-ray diffraction. Cu–BTO–MMCs exhibit local piezoelectric effect when strained, shown situ scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy. Cu– –MMCs feature initiation earlier closure growth due volume expansion once transforms.

Gypsum Composites with CDW as Raw Material
Abstract—In this study, the feasibility of incorporating ceramic waste from bricks (perforated brick and double hollow brick) and extruded polystyrene (XPS) waste, is analysed. Results show that it is possible to incorporate up to 25% of ceramic waste and 4% of XPS waste over the weight of gypsum in a gypsum matrix. Furthermore, with the addition of ceramic waste an 8% of surface hardness incre...

Torsion Effects in Elastic Composites with High Contrast
We establish a homogenization result and a corrector result for a vibration problem of elasticity. We assume that the data depend in a periodic way on a small parameter ε. We assume also that the Lamé coefficients take possibly high values in a periodical set of disconnected inclusions and take values of the order ε2 elsewhere. In the fibered case, torsional vibrations take place at an infinite...

متن کاملThermomechanical Behavior of Polymer Composites Based on Edge-Selectively Functionalized Graphene Nanosheets
In this study, we demonstrate an effective approach based on a simple processing method to improve the thermomechanical properties of graphene polymer composites (GPCs). Edge-selectively functionalized graphene (EFG) was successfully obtained through simple ball milling of natural graphite in the presence of dry ice, which acted as the source of carboxyl functional groups that were attached to ...
